My experience of Millboard, its product and service team has been exceptional. My decking has now been in situ for 2 years and it looks as good now as it did when it was first laid. I would have no hesitation in recommending Millboard. – Neil at Clifton Asset Management We installed Millboard Enhanced Grain in Golden Oak at our property in November 2013. We are in a coastal location, less than a mile from the North Sea and have heavy doses of sea spray when the wind is in the East. I must say that in spite of the challenging environment we are delighted with how the boards have performed, with no fading, warping or deterioration. This is in sharp contrast to the natural wood decking we have used in other areas of the property, which has discoloured, been affected by mildew and become very slippery. It is also in contrast with the vastly inferior composite decking used at the local Balmedie Country Park between our property and the sea. The coastal paths through the dunes warped and twisted so badly they were removed after a few years and replaced with natural timber. Any soiling of the Millboard over it’s years of wear and weather is quickly cleaned off by pressure-washing to make it like new. When I recently damaged 2 boards by accident, I was delighted to find that the replacement boards I installed blended in almost perfectly, showing that after 5 years the boards have almost entirely retained their original colour. This is a fantastic product and I have heartily recommended it to the many admirers who have enquired about it. – Homeowner Millboard provided excellent customer service. Small in size though having it installed is HUGE as it means that an area of our garden that had not been used since the house was built 13 years ago can now be fully enjoyed. One side of our house faces a lake and small waterfall and faces west so has sun through to late evening. For 13 years this side has been unused as the garden slopes dramatically down and placed that section of garden in a well. We then decided to knock down a bit of wall and landscape to raise the garden to have a deck that we could walk straight out onto, the search for decking was extensive and we didn’t like anything at all…………………….until we found Millboard! We wanted the distressed look both for general aesthetic reasons and also due to the proximity to water making it a more sympathetic material. We had the job done early in the year and so enjoyed the whole summer on our deck sipping sundowners with our neighbours who all love it too. They claim it is lovely to work with. – Wendy, Homeowner The project was to replace an existing wooden structure that had been in place over 20 years. The board walk is in a nature reserve close to the prestigious Sandbanks peninsula, and its award winning Blue Flag beach in Poole, Dorset. This existing board walk required a lot of maintenance due to its age and the fact it was covered in rabbit netting that created an anti-slip surface. The joists and runners were recycled plastic, supplied by Millboard, and were held together by stainless steel bolts, will stand up well to the salty air environment. Using the Vintage Oak boarding we were able to create a natural looking structure that will not deteriorate over time, while at the same time taking advantage of the anti-slip properties offered by the decking. – Simon at Borough of Poole The product is by far the best on the market, it couldn’t be easier to work with and on the rare occasion when an issue has arisen Millboard go into overdrive to resolve the problem.
